International Women’s Day 2021
Marked annually on March 8 is International Woman’s Day (IWD), a day where the world comes together to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. At CLCRF, we are very lucky to be surrounded by so many amazing women on a daily basis. These include the women working in our office, our volunteers, the women who work at the organisations we collaborate with, our ambassadors, and our supporters.
The campaign theme for IWD this year is #ChooseToChallenge. This theme highlights the idea that a challenged world is an alert world and from challenge comes change. We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality.
Here are some ways you can help forge a gender equal world this IWD:
- Educate women on health choice decisions
- Build inclusive workplaces so women thrive
- Applaud equality for women in sport
- Encourage women to pursue goals without bias or barriers
From challenge comes change, so let’s all choose to challenge. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world.
Over the years, the Foundation has seen first-hand just how strong women are. Women are pillars of strength for their children and families during the most difficult times in their lives.
