Featuring interviews with project head Professor Ursula Kees, patron Justin Langer, cancer survivor Melissa Ward, Simon Roebuck (father of cancer survivor Oliver) and Foundation Chairman Geoff Catttach, the video outlines what The Foundation has achieved since its establishment in 1983. The history of The Foundation is also discussed and also what The Foundation hopes to achieve in the future.
Foundation Chairman Geoff Cattach – “In 1983, when Professor Ursula Keys first headed our research laboratory, children diagnosed with Leukaemia had only a thirty percent survival rate. Today, thanks to the collaboration between our research staff and Perth’s Childrens Hospital Total Care Unit, survival rate is now eighty percent.”
